About Me

Chia-Ling Kuo, PhD (she/her/hers)

  • Associate Professor
  • The Cato T. Laurencin Institute for Regenerative Engineering
  • Department of Public Health Sciences, UConn Health

  • I am a biostatistician by training. My research areas are in aging, particularly biology of aging and geroscience-guided interventions for aging. I am a NIH-funded investigator, with a track record of grants and publications. I have investigated genes and biomarkers with implications for aging, including APOE and SH2B3 genes, plus telomere length. Part of my research is to relate accelerated biological aging to adverse health outcomes using different biological age measures. More recently, I have focused on drug discovery or repurposing to target the aging process and biology underlying major depressive disorder and Alzheimer's disease and related dementias plus other age-related diseases or conditions. My research is supported by data from UK Biobank and US Health and Retirement Study. I am keen to collaborate to leverage data from additional cohorts for aging-related research.
